“New Worlds Reading Scholarship” is a program that provides financial assistance to outstanding students from developing countries who are pursuing a Masters degree in the field of reading and writing at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) in South Africa.
The scholarship was established in 2009 by the New Worlds Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting literacy and education around the world. The scholarship is designed to contribute to education especially in underrepresented areas, nurturing a new cadre of scholars and educational leaders.
